Who: Kevin Michael Hodge.
Age: 21 and a quarter.
Band: Brava Spectre (myspace.com/bravaspectre).
Next gig: July 2 at The Space with Fatal Film, Birth of Flower, Book Slave and Piranhas in Your Hot Tub.
Music style: Some call it heavy dub. It has jazz influences (especially in the structure), some experimental influences, mostly just a lot of big riffs.
Armed with: Guitar. I also sing a little bit.
Wishes he had: More pedals.
First record bought: It's too embarrassing, I can't even say.
Best show seen at the New Haven Coliseum: WrestleMania.
Listening to: Sonic Youth and trying on the new Animal Collective.
Song that changed his life: The Cardigans, "Carnival."
Inspired his first notes: I always had a dream to walk down the street and be playing guitar while a crowd of girls followed me, like Kevin Wasserman in that Offspring video.
Always wins: Ice Rock.
Always loses: There really are no winners in Ice Rock, so I guess I lose that too.
Buy him a drink: The same thing you're having. When someone's buying you a drink, it's polite to let them pick.
Last thing he chugged: I honestly did a keg stand yesterday.
On TV: "Forensic Files." Something about solving murders I love.
Films: Boogie Nights, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Jurassic Park.
Under his bed: My extensive Lego collection bagged and sorted by color.
Join another local band for a day: Get Haunted. For them, I'd join for two days.
Most memorable local shows: I got to see Get Haunted for the first time the other night, and I hadn't been so excited by a local performance in a very long time. Also, Good God played that show and were very impressive.
Also found: Trying to teach myself Spanish.
Fun fact about Kevin: I'm an octoroon.
If he were a pizza, the topping would be: Throw it all on there, I love every type of pizza. Besides pineapple.
Question he wished I asked: More questions about or having to do with pizza.
