Dentist
Dr. Aaron Gross is pretty high tech. His dentist chairs have built-in flat-screen TVs so nervous patients can watch "Days of Our Lives" as a distraction while they get cleaned. He's also got a little laser camera to take before and after close-ups of your teeth -- who knew your mouth looked like that? -- that most people have never seen before. And now he's got a new "Waterlase MD" that he's excited about.
"It's very new. It's very cool," he says. It's an "all-purpose dental laser" that allows him to do minimally invasive fillings on patients without using Novocain.
Dr. Gross is clearly captivated by this technology and says his patients are too. "I've had a patient who's been with me since 2001, and he's moving. When we used the Waterlase on him, he was so blown away by it that he asked me to refer him to a Chicago dentist with the same equipment.
"My mission is to make patients' experiences as comfortable as possible. The further apart we are from what traditional dentistry is, the better."
