Dr. Ronald C. Savin, M.D., The Savin Center for Dermatology

134 Park St.
New Haven, CT
(203) 865-6143
Dr. Ronald Savin has a simple theory for why he's the best dermatologist in New Haven. "It's because I'm the oldest one around," he says with a laugh. "I've been in downtown New Haven since 1962."

He's being modest. With all those years of experience comes authority. "Almost from the beginning, we've run a clinical research unit and we test new medicine from major drug companies, always in the field of dermatology," he says.

And there's also a specialty at Savin Center that, let's face it, lots of guys will like (and need): Treating hair loss.

"We were at the forefront of testing new medications for hair loss in the early 1980s," says Dr. Savin. "Rogaine, Propecia. We've probably tested them all. And a bunch of drugs that didn't work."

If you have all your hair, the Savin Center also diagnoses and treats contact dermatitis, psoriasis, excema, growths, tumors, cancers, acne, even sunburn. As the good doctor puts it, "Everything with skin."
