Yale-New Haven Hospital

20 York St.
New Haven, CT
(203) 688-4242
Most people avoid the hospital like the plague. (And they probably avoid the plague because it serves to land them in the hospital.) The mysterious beeping monitors, the woozy anesthetic drips, the sharp objects, masked doctors and latex gloves are enough to send anxiety through the most stable person. How, then, has Yale managed to get you, the reader to agree they're the best?

"Yale-New Haven Hospital has a firm commitment to give its patients the best quality care," says Cynthia Banuelos-Blessing, a Yale-New Haven Hospital media liaison. "For me, coming to work every day presents me with new experiences. Yale-New Haven Hospital makes me feel important and part of their mission."

Besides being the prettiest of our local hospitals, Yale-New Haven is expanding. A quick trip up the Route 34 connector will give you a good look at the new Yale Cancer Center.

Nevertheless, "Yale-New Haven Hospital has a very important component: its people," says Banuelos-Blessing. "Making sure that every patient who comes to the hospital is treated with dignity, respect and compassion."
