"We interface between the natural and the conventional," says Josh Levitt, N.D. Of course, the natural doctors at Whole Health will be happy to become your medical home, too. Many of their patients prefer to use natural medicine, which relies on treatments like acupuncture and dietary or lifestyle changes, as their first line of defense instead of relying on conventional methods like prescriptions. But some patients come to them looking for an alternative, holistic viewpoint on how to treat severe or chronic problems. "We’re less weird or alternative than most people expect," says Robin Ritterman, N.D. "We’re less of a scary entrance to the medical world," adds Amanda. She says that since the doctors at Whole Health devote an entire hour to new patients’ visits and subsequent appointments are half an hour, many patients are comfortable sharing more information than they might in a hurried interview. "We get a lot of patient disclosure you wouldn’t get in a shorter visit," she says. "There are a lot of benefits to sitting down and laying it all out," adds Josh.
